Looking for updater drivers for my HP S-20 Photo Smart Scanner.

Running Windows 7 Premium and can not get original XP Drivers to function even on compatibility modes.

Have a number of 35MM Slides which I would like to scan and digitize but do not want to create an XP Machine for just this particular purpose.

TIA for any information and relative drivers.

Wishing all a Safe and Healthy 2012

TO A/J

HELLO A/J.

WERE YOU ABLE TO FIND UPDATED DRIVERS FOR THE PHTOSMART S-20 SCANNER?

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.

I BELIEVE THAT THEY MAY NOT EXIST.  AND, I SEE THAT EVEN WHEN TRYING TO INSTALL THEM INTO THE  X-86 PROGRAM FOLDER IN WINDOWS 7, THE DRIVERS FAIL TO "SEE" THE SCANNER.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Doh!  I better answer my own question because HP is so lame.

Go here and download the image of the calibration card:
http://photo.net/digital-darkroom-forum/009MgU

Open Libreoffice Impress, set the page size to 5x7 and size this calibration card to that size. Export as a jpg. Print it and trim to size.

Calibrate the HP photosmart S20.

Don't expect any useful answers from HP except for: "wah!, we don't support the S20 anymore and we don't have any answers for you because we are lame!... wah!"

Trust me, I use to work for HP in Prague. worthless....
