I tried a lot of stuff to try to repair the webcam but it's still not working
I'll explain as brief as i can. Two weeks ago the webcam stopped working and i tried solving it without managing to. I decided that it was the perfect excuse to do a full recovery of the system and do the clean-up. After the recovery where my pc supposedly got to the initial status as when i bought it i see for my surprise that the webcam is still not working.
I installed youcam to see if that was the problem but it didn't change anything.
Before i had updated the BIOS, uninstalled the cam from the device manager, updated drivers both manually and automatic, but it always said i had them up to date and it showed no conflict.
Then i realized that my original device was "Hp Webcam-101" and now it shows "USB2.0 UVC VGA WebCam" and that might be the problem.
Whenever i try to turn it on, the light of the cam turns on, but it shows absolutely no image.
The problem is i can't find the drivers for the Hp Webcam-101 and i'm afraid if i do recovery again it will go back to the same as now.
The HP labtop model is G61-101SA

i'm almost 100% sure that the problem is that windows automatically detects a webcam that is not the right model and therefore it brings up the wrong drivers.
Anyhow if anyone could help me to get to change the webcam into the original "hp webcam-101" i'd be thankful
