Flickering problems !

When I'm play games in my laptop like GTA EFLC, GTA IV, Operation flashpoint red river, Prince of persia the forgotten sands etc.... I noticed flickering in the screen. Any Help ?

My Laptop: Hp pavilion g6-1066se (LP251EA)

Processor: Intel core i5-2410M 2.3GHZ

RAM: 4GB

GFX card: ATI radeon HD 6470M

I have the same issue after an update on HD 6470M driver. When are they coming out with the new driver to solve this issue.

By the way, is there a manual download section rather than using HP assistant?

I Have the same problem after updating my Radeon HD 6470M card. I load up The Sims 3 and in the loading screens its starts flickering or screen tearing real bad. And it only happens after the driver update.  ive only noticed in in my game durring loading. But it doesnt happen durring actual game play. No matter what i do, fixes it.

Yeah its a pain... im glad im not alone! i wish hp would update or fix the drivers so it doesnt do that, then i might actually be able to update my drivers. I rolled mine back to the dec 2010 driver.

i think i have a similar problem.
my screen gets a single tear in Heroes of newerth/ warcraft 3 and dota 2
playing on borderless windows helped. it even happens when im watching a full screen video

Download the Drivers at the AMD Website.

As this is where i get all my drivers for graphics cards now, after HP stopped giving out graphics update.

i know that we can set gpu to fixed in bios but why is it so,is the auto switch issue in
dv6 still unresolved???

Same issue with Envy 17 3D, and case manager called me a liar because a half a dozen technicians were unable to reproduce the flicker during several repairs.
