HDX power off automatically?? Please help

Sometimes when I run a game, after a while the laptop just power off like battery was taken out. I think it is over heating problem. Is there anyway to fix this? Would cooling pad help?

A cooling pad will help, also check your power settings in the control panel and set it on "High Performance"

 

Laptops never were great for gaming because of the heat issue.
