Screen Goes Black While Playing Games

This happens if it's already been plugged in before playing.

However I am able to play a game if all the graphics and performances are at a complete minimum. But if I raise the details or anything up just a smidge the screen goes black after a few minutes. It's very annoying because I'd like my games to look at least a little decent while playing.

My screen went black while doing nothing but browsing the internet. This is the first time this has happened with the problem not coming from a video game. Very frustrating... Sorry HP, but I think you're losing a customer. :/

I would only suggest for you to contact HP customer service about this problem. Their tech team should be the one to fix it for you.

If your Pavilion getting hot when this happens. Beacause it may just simply be overheating and turning itself off. Mine has done it a few times.

What to do.

Use your PC on a desk.

Have a cooling pad under it.

Make sure you are not running too many programs at once.

Make sure your battery life is good.

What not to do.

Do NOT play on a bed. Or any thing that may have wool or cotton. It will not let air flow.

Do NOT play on an uneven surface.

Do NOT run a lot of programs at once.

There could always  be the possiblity that drivers are not updated. BIOS. 

Or your computer may have a problem on the inside.

Mine dm4 has similar problem.Sometimes only the CAPS key blinks during the startup and the laptop starts booting after some time.Also the laptop completely freezes when i changes my graphics properties to the gpu processor.
