i set it to high perforjmance just now and the same issues are happening. the game has a lot of missing textures and in gta 4 under resource usage (video ram) in the menu screen its its showing 202/59 mb and will not let me change the video setting from 800x600 to my native resolution. the menu should show /1024 or sometihng close to it as i bouight a 1 gig card. when i try to boot up left 4 dead 2 i get missing tetures as well. whats going on?

If still a problem, try to change your BIOS settings, from Dynamic to Fixed for the graphics card.

This computer had so many issues. They told me that my computer did not have "switchable graphics" i ended up returning it. i purchased an Asus G53sw-XA1 for 899 in late december. This thing runs circles around the dv6t quad. the graphics card is superior to theirs, plus the asus allows for 2 hard drives (although its a bit more complicated putting a second one in) and comes with a 1 year accidental damage protection warranty by default.
