Hp probook 4430's
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
When I power on my Probook 4430's, the baterry alert specified that, Primary internal battery code 601. When I ran a battery test through the BIOS, by pressing F2 during startup allowed me to access it. I replaced the laptop charger through HP recall and it only allowed me to operate the Probook when it was plugged in. What is the best case scenario?

Sounds like you need to replace the battery. A bad battery can in some cases even halt boot up of a laptop. For what it is worth-the error message is referring to the removeable battery- not the actual internal battery on motherboard.

@TNKUMAR

The error is referring to the removeable battery attached to case.Notebook batteries gradually lose capacity over time.Usually last for 2-4 years. They are good for only so many charging cycles and will eventually only power the machine for a few mnutes no matter how long you charge it.
