HP 15r Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I (obviously) own an hp 15r Notebook PC. I am learning to code in QBasic via DOSbox, and I cannot find the "break" key (to end infanite loops). I have tried fn + shift, but it doesn't work. The "fn" key works, because I use it to use the f1-12 keys. I have specifically used the f1-12 keys in DOSbox, so that's not the problem. I always use Right-Shift (the location of "pause") in Steam Source games and Minecraft, so That's not it either. I cannot find a seperate "Break" key. Any ideas?

P.S. Let me know if this is somewhat hard to understand...

Hi @thetechman27,

The break key is not used that ofter now. So it took a little bit to find, but the key combo is pressing CTRL+ALT+ESC+Fn+Right SHIFT keys.

Hope this helps.

Hi @thetechman27,

Welcome back to HP forums.  I understand for are having issue with the Fn12 key in QBasic but not any other program.

Hp does not support QBasic, Suggest contact Microsoft.com as there created the software.

I am running QBasic in DOSBox, and I need to find the break key. I understand that the pause key is fn+shift, but the break key is entirely different or non-existent on my laptop. bottom line: I need to find the break key...
