I have an HP Envy with a broken left hinge, which I've seen many times in this forum. It was never dropped but just one day appeared to break. The notebook is under warranty...can it be sent in and repaired/replaced? Please let me know what steps I need to take to get this fixed.
The laptop was purchased in September 2013.

The product is still under warranty for a couple of weeks, according to HP website. I bought it just over a year ago.

While trying to open or close my hp envy 15. The hinges cause the base of the laptop to pry apart.
Have never dropped the laptop or caused any physical damage to it.
My laptop was purchased in september 2013.

Hi, I'm having the same problem with the left and right hinges on my HP ENVY 15 TouchSmart. Warranty just expired a month or so ago,so I would appreciate any assistance.

I recently started having the same issue with my ENVY. It was purchased last September. Has anyone been able to figure out a way to improve the operation of the hinge temporarily? I think mine is still all intact, but getting harder to move, so I don't want to cause more damage until it can be fixed.
