ok I have tried the fixes you have post here and thank you for the info but nothing seems to be working. I have a HP 2000 129A It's not new but really don't use it all that much and this just started . It's starts to charge for about 1-2 mins than nothing. I used the check battery and says it is ok working properly. Any other ideas that might help.

I'm having similar problems with my laptop also. For almost a year, it refused to be charged above 94%. Earlier this week, that dropped grossly to 71%. As I continued to unplug and replug the charger; it eventually rose up to 76%.
I've read your instructions, but I cannot find the 'Battery Category' on my computer. Could you direct me where to look?
