the cyberlink you cam is not shown on device manager, itswindows 101 that is there. Cyberlink came preinstalled with windows 7. I have uninstalled it and installed it and still not working. Skype wont allow me to change to the other webcam. so what do i do now. Even with quitting skype and trying to use the webcam it wont work. Keeeps telling me that webcam 101 can be used do i want to use that and when i say yes nothing happens.. Have always used cyberlink and just suddenly it wont work. what do i do now?

cyberlink does not show up on device manager. never has. i uninstaaled it and reinstalled it and still not working. its windows 101 webcam that shows up on devoce manager. Cberlink keeps telling me that there is webcam 101 to use do i want to use it and when i say yes nothing happens. driving me crazy. Cyberlink came preinstalled with windows 7 on my Hp 2000 notebook.

If it’s not showing in device manager it could be the cable that came loose on the camera.
Do a hard reset.
Power off the computer.
Remove the power cable and the battery.
Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth power sources are removed.
This should reset the hardware in the computer.
As you turn it back on tap the F10 key. This will load BIOS setup utility.
Press F9 to load defaults.
Press F10 to save and exit.
When the computer boots back up, check to see if everything is working.
You might also want to go to HP.com and update the software.

Before I do all that there is no cable to the webcam that can come loose. Its a software program. It came preinstalled with my notebook. I think i willl unistall the cyberlink softare and reinsatll it following the link that you gave me see if that works first. Will let you know before I doo all the previous things.

I uninstalled cyberlink you cam and reinstalled it from the link you gave me and so far it is working good. GThanks for your advice. Didnt any of the other things you asked me to do as i decided to try this first. All is well so far

I did everything to fix mine. Uninstall, reinstall, update, etc. I finally found these instructions to plug back in. I tried it on my HP 2000 notebook and it worked! The only difference is that the plug (white box) is on the left.
Thanks for sharing! Now my mom will be able to see her granddaughter as we are 1500 miles apart!
