EliteBook 850 G3 (V1H22UT)
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Can someone confirm which docking stations work with the Elitebook 850 G3.

I've beenn usiing a D9Y32AA#ABA for my Elitebook 840 G1 and the Elitebook 850 G3 does physically fit into the D9Y32AA#ABA, but the 850 G3 has a different power supply than the 840 G1 and I noticed there are two possible part numbers (D9Y32AA#ABA & D9Y32UT#ABA) for docking stations and just want to confirm which docking station is appropriate for my new Elitebook 850 G3.

Thank you!

Hi,

Both HP UltraSlim Docking Station models are compatible with HP EliteBook 820 G1-G4, 850 G1-G4, 840 G1-G4

Thank you. The 850 G3 is in and most everything is working. Just one of DisplayPorts on the D9Y32AA docking station seems to cause some resolution problems regardless of which monitor I connect to it. But, it works fine when my 840 G1 is docked.

I did notice the power supply for the 850 G3 is 19.5 V and the power supply for the 840 G1 (and the D9Y32AA docking station) has an output voltage is 18.5 V. So still not sure if the D9Y32AA is going to work for the 850 G3.

Might you, or anyone, know where the electrical specs for the D9Y32UT can be pulled up? Thinking perhaps the D9Y32UT might have a different ouput voltage (guessing at what might be the issue).

Thanks!

All HP UltraSlim docking station are 18.5V

Thanks. Actually had already installed that SP with my 840 G1 attached, so the log from it says it's already on the same Firmware version 2.30.000 installed. Humm..

Will have to snag someone else's docking station (same model # docking station) and give that a try. So, now this flips to a troubleshooting initiative. It would be a bit ... odd ... for the 850 G3 to be the culpret. But it is the "new" thing.

Mostly some driver issue.

Marking this one as resolved, since the question posed is resolved.

But still having ....PITA...problems with any display I connect to the first (right most when viewed from the front) displayport. So posted a fresh question on that.
