I have an  HP 15-r226CY PC with 4GB RAM running Windows 10 64Bit. I want to increase the RAM but before I tear this machine down I’d like to know how many slots it has and what is the maximum amount of RAM it can support.

Hi,

Your machine uses  2.16GHz Intel Pentium N3540 Processor with Turbo Boost up to 2.66GHz :

      http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04609738

Therefore  it has 1 slot: DDR3-1333MHz (DDR3L-1600 downgraded to DDR3-1066) ( for Bay Trail processors) max 8GB

Regards.
