I would also come to that conclusion. Request an RMA for that one and find a different brand.

I verified that the problem was a little hide switch in the caddy that enable/disable the reading of the secondary HD and doesn't enable the PC to start if it is in Off position.
After this, there was also a problem in the BIOS setting (the HD run but the PC didn't see it).
Now it's all OK: my notebook works with a primary HD 250GB and a secondary one 500GB.
