I've had my laptop for almost a year and a half and it's been working perfectly. Then, when I tried to open my laptop this morning, the corner of the laptop case above the hinge popped open. Since then, the other corner has also popped open and now the screen is very loose. Help!

@booitsjwu
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post serial numbers and case details.

Based on the many messages about the Envy hinge problem, it could be characterized as a design flaw.
Just to talk out loud without expected a definitive answer: How long before HP bothers to resolve the problem, if ever. Is there a work around like open the back, re-tighten the screws and add some dry lube. Or something like that.
