I seem to be yet another impacted customer. I bought my HP Envy M6 about 18 months ago. The right hinge has come off and am left to figure out what to do. This seems to be a common HP issue as I have a dv6 which also had the same issue. I started to research online trying to see if this was a common occurrence and here I am. I am deeply disappointed with my HP experiences and have serious doubts over the quality of HP products. Could anyone let me know how did you go about getting this issue resolved?

Gagoram, I spoke to a case manager who informed me that since i am out of warrenty, Which i can assume since its been 18 months you are as well, that it will cost about 190 Dollars to send it in and have them fix it, I was truly upset about the ridiuclous price they put on such a trivial thing...

My HP Envy m6 also has a broken hinge.
The right hinge has cracked open for some reason.
I open it very gently.
It's as if the silver top covering is also seperated from the underlying black screen perimeter.
How can I get this fixed?
My 1 year warranty had finished.
Please help me =)

I to seem to find my self having the hinge problem with my m6........I am hoping You can help me out as it seems everyone else is getting some help....I can send pics if needed it is the right hinge, computer works fine screen is still perfect but I am worried if someone other than me shuts the laptop it will break the screen as the lid starts to bend.......Thanks
