Unlike my previous HP's, I can't find the G60's service manual on HP's own 'manuals' list. Any future maintenance would obviously need a service manual, so whats up with HP hiding them now?
Anyone happen to know if any other model is designed similarly? I want to upgrade the CPU - no, theres no thing wrong with it, I just want an upgrade.
Is the generic how-to in the sticky applicable to all HP/COMPAQ units now?
Edit - Of course, I just had to have to model where they didn't bother to link to the service manual.
For CQ-60 and G60 models:

As you had noticed, it is not top secret, just a low speed of HP technical support that incharge in HP homepage.
Hopefully HP can improve their site.

I'm attempting to locate a copy of the disassembly instructions for the HP G60. According to your posting, the link that's listed assisted you in with your system.
I tried accessing the link but it tells me that page can't be found. By any chance, would you have a copy of these instructions you can supply me with? I'm desperately in need of these instructions and they are no where to be found.
This message goes out to anyone that may have a copy of these instructions.
Thank you and happy holidays.

Here's a link to the now 404'd manual from archive.org:
I don't trust random forum posters with links to shady file sharing sites, and neither should you.
