Hi,
I want to upgrade my Pavilion laptop, in terms of RAM and also, reading some threads, I can put SSD to my laptop.
Any assistance on what specific products (RAM and SSD) that will fit my Pavilion and where can I buy it from? Any links on selling merchants would be highly appreciated. I really want to max out my specs, as I am into video-editing as of this moment, I would need an extra boost in performance.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Ervin

Hi,
You can have a maximum of 16GB of DDR3L RAM (2x8GB). Choose 1600mhz sodimms. For the most stable system it is best to buy a kit of two sticks of exactly the same ram.
You can upgrade to an 2.5" SSD of your prevered size. I would choose at least 240 GB or higher. The SSD will greatly increase everday performance of the PC.
You will have to reinstall windows 10 on your system or migrate a system image to the SSD. I would choose to download and create a usb pendrive with Windows 10 from Microsoft and do a fresh reinstall of the OS
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
It will be automatically activated (just skip when asked for product key) as long as you install the same version you already had on PC.
Examples of bying upgrades:
RAM:
SSD:
Hope it helps,
David
