Product: HP Pavilion 15z-aw000 CTO
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I had ordered my HP Pavilion a few weeks back and recently opened it on Christmas. Everything works great except for the battery life. On the page detailing the specifics of the model, ( http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/Laptops/hp-pavilion---15z-laptop-%28touch-option-available%29-v0n65av-... ), it promised up to a 6 hour and 45 minute battery life. However, I have not gotten anything above 2 hours and 30 minutes. Is there something I need to increase the battery life e.g. let it die completely? Or is this just a bad model? I would really appreciate an answer as I have only been using it for about 5 days and I need a long battery life for when I am not working at home.

Battery backup on new PC is less that claimed., correct?

Oh and I forgot to mention that I have been constantly running on lowest screen brightness and maximum power saving settings.

Thank you for your help. I can see how the battery life is determined, as I left my computer on lowest settings with nothing running for 40 minutes with a 10% battery loss, which works out to about 6.66 hours. Once again, thank you.
