I saw several workaround solutions in the forum but nothing works for me.

I got this problem since last week, and I've tried almost everything that I could, like resetting the windows, updating BIOS, disconnecting and reconnecting the adapter etc.

I tried uninstalling the quick launch software. the warning didn't show up anymore, but when I play games the computer still performed badly, which means the real problem is still not solved.

I found a lot of people having this kind of problem. I called HP but it seemed they were not familiar with this problems. That is just wierd.

My computer is HP ENVY dv6-7214nr Notebook PC and I got it 9 months ago. i just feel pissed that HP is never serious about this problem.

How about taking a screen shot and posting it in your thread so what you are referring to will be easier to understand. I searched the forum and now see what you are referring to.

How to use Windows snipping tool.

Invoke the snipping tool and then click on cancel. It is now ready to use when the error message pops up. All you will have to do is  hold down th Ctrl key and tap the Prt Scr key  to make it active and take a screen shot.

I suggest either using one of the workarounds or using a factory image recovery to refresh your installation.

Don't forget that you will need to have all of the installers and the associated license activation keys for programs that you installed after you setup you notebook ready to use after the recovery is done.

Yes.

Thanks for the images. 🙂

I will have to check to see if that issue was corrected by a BIOS update. Nope. No BIOS update related to the issue.

Is the power adapter that you are using the orifginal or is it a replacement?

Have you considered uninstalling the HP Support Assistant?

You really won't be losing that much, because you will still have the Advanced PC Diagnostics capability that is provided by the UEFI environment available from the startup menu.

The thing is when this notification pops out, the computer stops charging and the LED light for changing turns from orange to white. Afterwards, the computer starts charging again for few seconds then a new window pops out. I think the reason that the notice keeps poping out and the computer performs badly is because it is switching between battery power and AC power. I just don't know if this is the problem of hardware or software. I used the original adapter with the laptop first came.
