Yes... with your Laptop screen dark - no presentation, it is impossible to attempt hard drive repairs.

1. One alternative might be to connect a VGA monitor to your laptop if it has a external VGA port.

2. If it is still  "Bleeping" - you will have no choice except to see a service center.

3. Often times your user manual will indicate what the bleep count stands for.

If you don't have a manual - Google for it.

Good luck,

STeve Su

Hi , I have hp eny dv6t-7200 quad edition. My machine is not getting beyond bios page. So, I remove hd and connected it with my desktop. It got scanned and then I placed it back in to the laptop and started using. Worked perfectly fine then I hibernated my machine and again the same problem with the same solution.

Please suggest what needs to be done

Before you replace  a HDD if you have a set of OS installation files. Run them and they will repartition your Drive which may fix error problem.

Hi all my computer crashed Thursday. It gets a black blank scene. In order for me to do anything I have to keep pressing the esc button to get the f9,10 and 11 prompts. But I did a chkdsk /f and chkdsk /r text the chkdsk /r text said the I don't have enough space on the dish to replace the bad clusters. I just don't know what else to do!! I've been UI all night. Wen it crashed I was NOT of course able to save and of my school out business files. Is there a way that I can still save them. Oh and I just did a disk text and it says that my hard drive dst short failed. PLS PLS ANYONE PLS HELP ME!!!
