HP Pavilion 15 P-045tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My Hard Drive failed and needs to be replaced. I contacted hp support and they gave me a quotation regarding the price of hard drive. The problem is this price is almost thrice as much for which i can get a hard drive with similar specs from any reputed vendor like WD or Seagate...
My question is why should i buy HP hard drive over the others. Does it come with any pre installed drivers?
Also the hard drive in my quotation is name SPS-HDD 1TB 5400RPM SATA RAW 2.5IN
I don't know what RAW stands for neither is purpose.
Can someone clarify this?

My notebook is out of warranty.

You can use any retail 2.5" laptop SATA hdd. I have used Western Digital in several laptops. One from HP will be a blank hdd just like any normal retail drive.
