My battery isn't charging and the HP diagnostic isn't recognising that there is a battery installed. I know it's in there but can't open the battery compartment to check it - replace it - do anything at all with it!

Hi,

 

Unless you've dropped super glue on it, the latch should move. Please try your thumb harder.
