HP 2000-2c29WM
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP 2000-2c29WM laptop Product# D1E81UA#ABA. The screen is broken, and when I plug it in it says plugged in, not charging. How could I fix either of these? If it is possible, I would like to fix the charging problem myself and the screen repair with a professional.

The battery problem has been that way ever since I first connected it to a TV, the cracked screen happened when it fell between 2 recliners and they smushed the laptop. It still works when plugged in, but the screen is cracked and half of it is black and I can barely see anything.

HP Recommended

Do a hard reset first for battery issue.

Have you finished battery test?

I can't actually do the battery check, the screen is so bad that I can't see what I'm doing. All I see is half of the background.

I also did a hard reset last week to see if that would fix it. I'm not sure if it worked, because I only let it charge for a few seconds. I haven't charged it yet to see if it works.

Try to connect to external monitor temporarily and try testing battery.

Do let me know the result, cell voltages, cycle count, capacity etc.

Okay, I'll try to do that. Thank you!
