Maximum RAM Capacity

My HP Envy 17t M9X67AV laptop came with 16 GB of RAM from HP when I purchased it new recently.  I was wondering, what is the maximum amount of RAM that can be put in that model?  Will it run 32 GB of RAM or more?

16 gigs is the maximum.

I saw on Amazon that same model had 32 GB of RAM.  So, for sure, my model can't be upgraded to 32 GB of RAM?  Just curious.

I gotta question that. Can you give us a link to the amazon.com ad for a 32 gig version of that model?

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle...yes I found an ad on amazon.com for the most recent Envy 17t with the Skylake i7 and 32 gigs of RAM:

I have seen ads for 16 gig DDR3-1600 memory chips at very high prices:

I found the same thing. HP has not posted a Service Manual for that model yet so can't be sure but I know the Skylake will support 16 gig chips. I have an HP Zbook 15 G3 with the same processor and 4 RAM slots and it will support 64 gigs but is running DDR4-2133 memory...never seen a 32 gig DDR3 laptop with 2 slots.

That's what I meant, if it was possible to upgrade with added RAM.  As I mentioned, how do I find out the absolute limit of RAM that model can handle?
