To make it simple: No. On your model the hard drive or the SSD connects with a cable to a single zif header. So you can have EITHER a 2.5 inch SSD or hard drive OR a SATA M.2 disk. The SATA M.2 requires an adapter to make it fit in the same bay that would hold a 2.5 inch drive/disk.
This is the Manual and you can see what I say by looking at pages 60-66:

Slave and master is not the right terminology here...SATA and M.2 disks are not slave and master, you have "boot" or "system" and "just for storage".
I guess I am not explaining clearly enough. Your laptop has one place to put any kind of storage...hard drive, SSD, M.2 whatever so you can have one single "hard drive" for the computer.
The only possible way to do it which I do not really recommend is you can buy the M.2 adapter module and put an M.2 in the place where the hard drive is now. Then you can get a caddy to install a hard drive where the DVD burner is. You lose the DVD burner and the hard drive in that slot does not perform as fast as it should.
Thanks for the "solution".
