I'm building a simple alpha particle detector and would like to use this webcam I'm waiting to recieve. So I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what the pins are on the webcam module.

As the image below shows the spare part number is 626656-001 and the list of products it's used in can be found here: http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=626656-001. I have searched for useful schematics but without result.

Thanks!

Having recieved the cam [1] and corresponding cable (P/N DD0AX6CM002) I did a second round of searching and came up with the answer in an older thread [2]. The user CompRepairGurus referenced the schematics [3] and provided this image:

cam-HP G56 - G42 - G62 schematics, Compaq Presario CQ56 - CQ62 schematics, 31AX2MB00D0, DA0AX2MB6E0, DA0AX2MB6E1, AX2 - AX7 Motherboard schematics.jpg

This info was verified by seeing how pin 1 and 2 connected to a twisted pair on the cable and using a multimeter to check that pin 4 and 5 had connectivity with the grounded areas of the camera module (scew holes).

So the answer in reference to the image in the first post is:

A = pin 1, Data+

B = pin 2, Data-

C = pin 3, +3.9VDC

D = pin 4, Ground

E = pin 5, Ground
