Can I use a HP 756413-002 power adapter to power my HP EliteBook 840G3 notebook?  the output wattage is 65w but the OE adpater has an output wattage of 45w.

Hi,

 

I can't find 756413-002 in Part store

but the HP Elitebook 840 G3 accepts both 45W and 65W adapters as shown:

 

Operating voltage and current:

 

  • 19.5 V dc @ 2.31 A – 45 W
  • 19.5 V dc @ 3.33 A – 65 W

I actually use few PSU's for my laptops. For travelling I use a lighter one (lower wattage) ......
