Another Thank-you for the tip on Legacy support.   My son's laptop with a SSD drive installed quick working with the Hard Disk (3F0) error and no boot device found.   After a search, I found your post, went into BIOS and enabled Legacy support.  Rebooted and came up fine!

Thanks for posting!

I understand that on startup you are getting the error no boot device found 3F0.

Is the drive listed in the bios?

I am unsure of your question.

What are you trying to do?

Are you also getting the error "no boot device found"?

What is your model of HP notebook?

What operating system are you running?

Awaiting your response.

I have tried everything listed in this post and nothing is working. hdd went bad. Replaced it with a new one and restore disks. After it goes through install it says "Contact HP" then restart comes up with the (3F0) Error. I have tried Legacy boot, clearing the keys in bios, hdd check does run and shows hdd is there, removed battery and unplugged cmos battery, asks me to type 4 digits and continue. Tried using restores after that as well and still says same thing. replaced cable and still keeps going the same way. Been at this for a couple weeks. Now i have a buddy with the exact same computer. Both are HP6-2210US Pavilions. Anyone out there can help PLEASE!!

I understand that you have replaced the hard drive and completed a recovery. Now when you restart you get boot device not found.

After doing the recovery did you change the boot order back to the HDD first?
