Hi guys,
i've bought an M.2 SSD Drive http://www.eprice.it/ssd-INTEL/d-8941268(Intel 600p SSD 256GB), but my laptop doesn't recognize it. I think it's because it's an m.2 PCIe drive, while i've just noticed that the supported Drive is m.2 sata.
Can you confirm it?
TY,
Alessandro.

Greetings @ale_puto,
Thanks for the post, I understand that you are changing the SATA hard drive of your notebook with an M.2 SSD drive. I would like to help.
The support on HP Forums is only in English and the manual for your computer is not available in English for me to able to answer your concern. Refer to the manual for servicing options http://hp.care/2fFIY8r (not available in English)
Specifications of your computer are http://hp.care/2fFIWwW
However, HP does not recommend you changing the specifications of the computer, it has to be done at your own risk.
Let me know if this helped.

It's strange, since I can only download the service manual in english (In italian I can't find it).
Anyway, i'm not trying to change my internal SATA hard drive, i just want to upgrade my pc by ADDING an additional m.2 SSD. The manual (in english) says
M.2 SATA-3 (NGFF):
● SSD, 256GB, 2280, M.2, SATA-3, TLC
● SSD, 128GB, 2280, M.2, SATA-3, TLC
● SSD, 128GB, 2280, M.2, SATA-3, Value DRAM-less
So I suppose that the one i bought is not compatible since it's PCIe and not SATA, so I've just bought a SATA one, so as to try it hoping it'll work.
I just wanted to know if my computer supports PCIe m.2 (and so it was a problem of the previous SSD), or if my hypotesis is right (it's just a compatibility issue).
Thanks for the help,
Alessandro.
