Hi.
From last 2 Days im getting Smart Hard Disk Failure whenever i power on my laptop. But it works fine though there are some unexpected freezing in between the work.
It says
Hard Disk 1 (301)
If i run system diagnosticks it gives me a Failure ID QCU008-7AK882-XD7V7F-80A203
and a Product ID(i forgot to remeber).
What might have caused this problem? And what is the solution for this?
Do i need to replace the Hard Disk? How much it might cost to replace?
My PC is under Accedential warrenty plus HWM onsite service type.
Please Help Me.

Then you are better off than most. If you need it done like today you can buy your own hard drive and install it but on that model it is not easy to do. I recommend you have the HP Technician do it, but if you want to do it yourself we are here to provide the manual and possibly a video. Good luck.

I will contact near by HP technician as soon as possible. Probably tomorrow.
Thank you very much.
But one question remained unanswered in my mind. If you are interested please answer me, What might have cause this problem? Fragmenta problem?

Hard to say. Hard drives go out for many reasons. They are a very delicate piece of electronics. Power surge, jolt, being overfilled, too much heat, all can play a role. It has nothing to do with data fragmentation. We know that hard drives are unreliable and that is why we back up.
