Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Recently I am unable to insert the exclamation mark (SHIFT+1) on any programs. I know there is no problem with any keys as the shift button works and also the number 1 button works. But when I press these two keys in combination I get nothing (just tried putting an exclamation mark here to no avail).

This problem happened with my dad's HP Win 10 laptop as well. Suddenly most (nearly half of his keys) stopped working and he has been using an external keyboard for 2 months (once again tried putting an exclamation mark here to no avail).

Really dissapointed as it clearly seems to be a HP problem after it happening to both my and my dad's HP laptops only.

Can someone shed some light on this problem please. Thank you.
