My webcam worked perfectly after installing Windows 8 Pro but after a few months when I tried runnning Skype it showed and error "Webcam Not Detected" I have already installed newest version of youcam. I have tried trobleshooting using Device Manager but nothing work. I also watched a video on Youtube. Click Here to Watch, but it didnt work. My warranty has been expired aswell.

The webcams do go out and if you have tried reconnecting it and it did not work I am afraid it needs to be replaced. The good news is that they are not too expensive and you have already been in there so it will be easy to replace it.

My bad. I saw the video and it was about a dv7-1000 so I thought you had the same. I now see your title.
This is your webcam:
The dv7 and dv6 are very similar and the video you posted shows how to access the webcam. You pop off the plastic frame around the screen and the webcam is at the top.

This solves it for me every time it happens.
For my PC, maybe once or twice a month when I power on my PC, the webcam and some of the USB ports don't work.
To correct it I do the following:
- Disable and re-enable the Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller and the webcam was then visible and enabled.

While you may not have the same brand of USB Host Controller as I do, there must be some brand of USB Host Controller in your PC. You could try disabling and re-enabling that to see if doing so resolves the issue.
You will find the USB Host Controllers in Device Manager under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers node.

Sorry it didn't work for you. It works for me every time my webcam is not detected. I thought it was at least worth a try to see if it also solved your problem.
If you right-click on a USB Host Controller in Device Manager and then click Properties, does the Device Status say "The device is working properly."? My PC has two of them. It is always the first one that causes the problem.
