Trying to replace my laptop screen but I can't take off the last two screws at the bottom...

The first two on the top were the cross-shaped(philips) but the two bottom screws would not come off.

What type of screwdriver do i need for the bottom ones? What even is the shape of those bottom screws.

Hi @paviolon,

Thanks for becoming a member of the HP Support Forums. I understand you question about a screw for the hinge. I will be glad to help you.

Per page 67 of the Maintenance and Service Guide, the screw should be  four Phillips PM2.5×7.0 screws.

Please keep me informed of how things went.

If you require further assistance, let me know and I will gladly do all I can to help you.

Well actaully page 67 are the screws to dismount the screen from the keyboard not the panel itself. Im surprised they ended up being philips screws as I was using one and it didn't work...guess it was on really tight? Me trying to unscrew it with a philips ended up destorying the screw when I tryed it.

In the end I manged to take out the panel without removing the screws by bending the metal bit the scew was attached to..

Knowing it was a phillips screw was actaully really helpful as it stopped me from trying to figure out if I used the correct screwdriver.
