Yes. Samsung 850 Evo SSD is currently a good one available in market.

You can either clone (using Samsung migration tool or 3rd party tools) , factory reset (using HP recovery media) or clean install (if you've Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installation disc & you can clearly and legibly read all the 25 characters of the product activation key on the back of your laptop).
Move all your personal data on to external HDD before cloning.
