I have an HP Pavillion dv6-7029tx running windows 8 pro 64bit.
i7 3612qm processor.
I need to enable hardware virtualization which was disabled in the transition from windows 7 to windows 8, and i remember this setting being in bios, but when i restart my laptop and go into bios management(f2), i can't view or change any of the settings, and it instead says BIOS Id F.0A and a message at the top of the screen telling me to select a disk image or something similar to that.
Sorry, my mistake.. seems i was pressing the wrong f key at startup.. after reading through some threads i've found that its f10 and not f2.

Why is it essential that you need Windows XP?
Maybe dual boot Windows 8 and 7 Pro, and use the virtualization part to use Windows XP? At least you would have the security updates. Its hard to do and I am not an expert in dual booting. From what I understand, it can be done, just difficult.
I would ask Microsoft on that one.
