Hello. I am considering swapping out the AMD Turion 64 x2 TL-60 processor in my dv2815nr for an AMD Phenom II N620. Will it fit and or work if they have the same pin configuration?

Sorry missed it. Just needed to see if it was higher or lower than dv2500. Higher. Same advice as before. On your model top 2 are:

AMD processors: Turion™ TL-68 2.4-Ghz processor with 1-MB L2 cache

Turion TL-66 2.3-Ghz processor with 1-MB L2 cache

They will physically occupy the same slot, but you cannot replace a Turion TL-60 with a Phenom II N620....65 nm vs 45 nm and the Phenom II is not compatible with the dv2000z series or the dv2500/2700z series.

If you can give the exact model number of th elaptop we can tell you the highest and best compatible CPU you can install

Hello again. Would you say that a Turion 64 x2 TL-62 2.1GHz would work?
