compaq webcam not working

I've tried to install the latest driver from the compaq website

but still, It does not work...

 

I also tried to contact hp support representative, he had

a lot of recommendations and applied it to my notebook

unfortunately, it has no effect.

 

please suggest some solutions... thanks in advance.

You should provide more info about your computer otherwise is hard to help you. What model is it? OS  WinXP, Vista ... ?????

I've provided everything including the s/n; p/n

I'm using Vista with service pack 1

32 bit os

model: compaq presario v3770TU

 

I'm also looking for a driver in the Compaq website but

I can't find any for the internal webcam

 

please advise if you have idea, thanks

Try this support webpage for your laptop. Take a look in the software solutions section for the Cyberlink YouCam software. That could be what you are looking

 

for. Also run the HP Software update and HP critical updates for Windows Vista.

 

BTW you didn't state which version of Vista you have installed. There are many flavors.  :smileywink:

Have you read this HP documentation on setting up the webcam? Here is a related document on the subject.

yes, I read it. support representative lastnight gave me a site in hp

and downloaded the driver but still it does not work, I will just bring

this notebook to the seller.

You are welcome. Why not just do an HP system Restore to OEM configuration?

hi,

 

I am using compaq presario cq40 loptop. i am facing problem with my webcam. when i am trying to instal the webacm software an error massage was showing that no webcam device found.

here am using windows7 ultimate 32 bit OS. Please advise on this issue..
