I also need help with this. The left hinge gave out not but a month after the warranty ended. I barely move it and did not drop it. 

 

This is not okay, so many people have the same issues and I can't even get a customer service rep on the phone.

I have had same issue after warranty and had extended but that lapsed too.

First the left hinge an recently the right hinge.  Screen not working most of the time and have to cautiously move laptop.  

Has anyone tried the repair themselves?
