Battery Alarm

I am receiving battery notice at start-up on my pavilion g6 notebook; do I have to buy new battery ? I bought my notebook just 1 year from Best Buy !

I'm not sure what battery you have or what the exact message is, but you might start by seeing if there is a troubleshooting document in this list that might help you.
