Battery indicator

Hi everyone!

I have a problem with my hp Pavilion DV6359ea:

My battery died a lot of time ago, and only today i bought a new one. The problem is that the windows battery gauge is totally wrong.

If I discharge completely the battery (leaving the notebook turn off in Safe mode), than I turn on the computer with the ac source connected, and the gauge indicate 58% of capacity. Quickly it reach the 100% but the battery continue charging (checked with rmclock). When it's completely charged I unplug the power source, and when the gauge indicate 55% the notebook turn off suddenly.

I've already tried all calibrating method I found (normal mode, safe mode, bios mode), but maybe I'm do it wrong...

Any help will be welcome!

Sorry for my english!

Re: Battery indicator

go to hp.com and search on "maximizing battery life" and scroll to the section on calibrating a new battery
