Which of the current 17.3" models do have room for 2 HDD's, in addition to the optical drive? Could this information be in a FAQ?

The dv7 has room for 2 hdds.

How about g7 series, like g7-1305eo, or Or Envy series, like  Envy 17-2100eo, or ProBook series?

The G7 series has a single hard drive bay. Envy 17 has two bays for hdds:

The Probook 8740w Mobile Workstation has an upgrade bay but you have to choose between an optical drive and a second hard drive.
