What brand of internal hard drive to replace old failing one on compaq presario AY03011-ABL CQ5320F 64 bit. Would like to get same one or better without too much cost.

This is a desktop, right not a laptop? Yeah you have picked a bad moment in history to be looking for a hard drive. I think the industry is milking this "floods in Thailand" thing as an excuse to keep gouging us for way too long. Where are you located? I personally like Seagate hard drives but Western Digital makes a good one. Try one of these:
