1. HP Pavilion dv7-4050ed entertainment notebook PC
2. Windows 7 64-bit (Ultimate)
3. No error messages
4. The first problems occured when i bought the laptop.
I bought my HP Pavilion dv7-4050ed entertainment notebook PC in September 2010. It was broken since the moment i bought it.
My laptop reached tempratures of 100 degree's. I wanted to keep trying and i kept postpone bringing it back. When i eventually did last year, it was send to get repaired. I got it back unrepaired.
Then i send it back agian, this time they admitted the heatsink was broken and they ''fixed'' it.
The laptop was still broken however.
So i desided to send it back a third time. This time the heatsink and the motherboard were replaced.
Still broken....
I lost my thrust in repairing the laptop, so i went to the shop (Dynabyte) to ask for a new laptop. They said i can only get a new one from HP or the headquarters of Dynabyte. So I desided to send a mail to Dynabyte headquarters. It took over a week till i got a reply from them. When i clearly asked for a new laptop in my E-mail, they just said: they wanted to help me by picking up my laptop and sending it for repair agian.
They clearly did not read my e-mail...
So i desided to send them another e-mail. I told them I did not want to repair the laptop. I want to get a new one.
It took over 2 weeks to reply this time, and the answer was vague. Even the local dynabyte store couldn't understand what them meant. So i went back to the store and I once agian asked them to help me to get a new laptop.
Despite the fact i bought the laptop in their store, i was told they couldn't help me. They said they can only send computers back for repair. They wanted me to contact the headquarters agian, while the headquarters refers to the local store.
I'm getting just tired of this. I'm walking around whit a 1350 euro HP Pavilion dv7-4050ed entertainment notebook PC and it was broken since the moment i got it. Afther 3 repairs it's still broken and I cant see the end of this. I bought a very expensive stress machine.
I messured the temperatures once agian last weekend and they were rising over 90 degree's in the coolest core. While my laptop was on a dual-fan cooling pad, and whit no battery in it. It is totaly broken and I expect you to help me. It is you're product and you're repair team cant fix my laptop. The I7 processor is probably broken, and there most other parts should have melted when the temperatures went over 100 degree's.
For one and a half year of stress i want to get a new laptop. And i want to get a laptop which is worth 1350euro today. Cus this thing is only worth about 800 euro's today. While i bought it for 1350 euro's. And the only thing i bought was pain and stress.
Please read carefully, unlike the Dynabyte personal.

Thomas Versluis
