Memorex and Verbatim have worked fine for me.

Re: Burning blu-ray discs

thanks, I always like Verbatim when burning regular DVD. I just ordered Verbatim BD-R 25GB, then if all goes well I will try some BD-R DL 50GB.

This drive can rewrite BR-RE discs, correct?

Re: Burning blu-ray discs

The BD-R 25 gig Verbatim is what I have used in my laptop Blu-Ray burner. I did not think it could burn DL and I have never tried the RE disks (too expensive-regular BD-R is bad enough!).

Re: Burning blu-ray discs

It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack... so **bleep** ...does (can) the hp bd-re bt 11n use for  approved media and does it burn to dl- br discs or not? You would think Hp would clairfy this.

Thanks for the "bleep", but the lack of info isn't very helpful.

That's Verbatim 50GB 2X BD-RE DL(in particular) or any other DL BD-RE or BD-R DL discs?

Re: Burning blu-ray discs

So, to follow up for those that can't find out from Hp, the Hp Bd-Re Bt11n is working great with the Verbatim 50GB 2X BD-RE DL , speed depending on burning software, disc limited to 2x.

Purchased here:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817130191

I haven't tried the 4x BD-RE or BD-R (4x) yet but I'm assuming the same results.

Now I'm looking for the fastest burning software.
