Compaq CQ50 wont boot. MOBO bad?

Have a CQ50 here and trying to get it working. When you press the power button it comes on, as does the wifi button beside it. After about 5 seconds the wifi button goes from blue to orange and the laptop then shuts off. On occasion the laptop will start up and run for any gievn time before shuttong off again. Then has the same problem.

Is this a mobo issue or what? I have tried a hard reset and swapped out ram and HDD to test but it still does the same thing.

Try doing a Hard Reset. You can do this by removing the battery and unplugging the AC Adapter. Then press and hold the power button on the laptop for about 30 seconds, then put the battery back in and plug in the AC Adapter and try turning it on again.
