Compaq Mini CQ10-500SA PC Will not start up

I have posted this issue on the hardware due to it not being a software issue cause I stupidly spilt cola all over the keyboard.

 

I removed the back of it imiately as it started to fun right though the machine. I dried it as soon as I could as well. 

 

The next day I started it up and it worked perfect! then i shut it down that night after making no software changes just surfed online. Now 2 days after I had the accident it wont start up! It charges the battery and when hitting the power button it stays on for an average of 3 seconds.

 

Today I stripped it down and cleaned every part of it and re-assembled it. Now I still have the same issue as before with power light staying on for 3 seconds.

 

 

Could anyone make any suggestions as to why its not working now after booting up and working for several hours?
