I've had my Presario C700 for about 6 months now, and 2-3 months ago the charger started playing up. I would have to turn the adapter to a certain angle for it to charge. At first it was easy, but it's gotten harder and harder, and now it's at the stage where the only way to get the blue light to turn on is to hold it in myself which is entirely impossible. So, now it's got no power and will not turn on at all.
I've read up on several people who've all had the same problem, and they all got different advice. Some were told to just buy a new AC adapter, and others were told to get a new battery. Meanwhile someone else was told that it was the DC rod in the actual laptop that was the problem, and that to fix it would cost something like $200+. He was then advised to just buy a new laptop.
I need help to fix this. Anything you can do would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
