Compaq Presario defect

My Compaq laptop (Presario CQ40) died after 2 weeks of acquisition. As I was in constant foreign travel, I was able to bring it back to supplier/dealer in  Manila's SM Megamall (Accent Micro) for diagnosis and repair. After 2 months, iI followed it up and its was given back to me untouched for repair as nobody attended to it.

 

Two things:

1. Compaq seems to be a bad product as our office has been using 7 Asus laptops and we did not encounter such problem.

2. The dealer support is also very poor and the Compaq reps might have no products monitoring; or the dealer is just remiss in its responsibility to satisfy Compaq users. Because of the inaction of the dealer, the 1yr warranty lapsed.

What do I do? 

 

As an owner of our growing company, we tend not to buy Compaq products given the quality and support that remain to be improved.

Keep that attitude in mind when one of your Asus machines die.
