DV4-1140GO won't boot after flashing latest Bios

I was dancing all night buddy!!! Hehehe... my wife thought I was crazy, but what the heck... I got the BIOS fixed... it would have meant at least 20 days without a working computer

Fexlix c21 since you have an 1140go too I have a question. Have you played a movie in the cd drive. Mine makes quite a racket when its spinning, does yours ?

A lot of people must be having this problem cause  hp deleted the bios file and the previous bios file versions for the dv4-1114nr, for the dv4-1028us and for many other dv4- series laptops. Im so mad cause When i was looking on how to fix the issue, changing the file from .fd to .bin was not stated yet and i shipped it off to hp. Those guys dont know anything. I spoke to 3 different techs including one level 2 tech. He was asking me why you press the window key and the b key. He kept asking what does that mean. They may replace my motherboard and the techs will not dispatch me to the actual tech thats going to fix my laptop. I wish I wouldnt have given up. It seems like most of you have fixed the problem. I wish i would have know about changing it to the .bin

I have good news, from when I was trying to do this mess, I found a copy of the 30F7F24U.FD on my flash drive. So for those of you who have the integrated graphics and not the nvidia graphics I have the latest bios file for you since hp does not offer it at the moment for the dv4. email me at sbeard24@cox.net if you need it. Just remember you have to rename it to .bin before you try to flash your bios.

What is with all the bios failures and new machines?  I dont get it?  Ive had one two weeks ago, Different Keys etc.  But Close to the same steps with Power button and a flash drive.  Everyone is going to think twice before flashing bios with horror...  My older book Has 8 new Bios updates and they all went smooth.

MY PROBLEM ias quite similar. it's dv2810us that got bricked using hp fuile from site.  now al i see is black screen. all F*s wont work.

DACHAHCA , not in all cases will the F key process work. I bricked my DV6000 and nothing seemed to get the system to respond. HP was of no help. I was pissed. if all else fails.. contact aqstech.com it's not a hopeless situation.
